Hilarious buffet, hot songs and dance, and fierce bread-eating games…… In the evening of 21 December 2012, China Agricultural University (CAU) held a New Year 2013 celebration with new international students at the Recruitment and Employment Hall of Student Dormitory Building No.1 located in the University’s east campus. The party invited all the new international students who had left their motherlands to pursue further studies at CAU. They got together to celebrate the Christmas and the New Year 2013. Vice President Wang Tao attended the celebration and presented his blessings to all of them.
At the commencement of the evening party, Wang Tao delivered his New Year’s greetings and sincere blessings on behalf of CAU to all the international students and teachers engaged in relevant work. He pointed out the notable achievements in our university’s international cooperation and exchange in year 2012. The contacts with foreign top-notch universities were intimate, exchange visits were frequent, and the scale of overseas students expanded steadily. There were 224 foreign students from 5 continents and 39 countries studying in our university. Wang hoped that overseas students should make full use of their opportunities studying here, gain better understanding of our university, Beijing and China, and act as friendship ambassadors of Chinese and foreign peoples. In the end, Wang wished everybody a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
